Chris Pell is a visual artist, creating narrative-driven electronic music, images, videos, and animations. His work is reflected in his library of obsessions within the natural world, British folklore, and video games. While his portfolio features myriad projects, the work often features a thematic universe as a strong central element, whether that’s through the client or the output.

Under the aliases of Murlo and Sharda, he produced all visual work for his 17 EPs as well as his album release, some of which were nominated for AIM Independent Music Awards’ Best Creative Packaging (2019), Art Vinyl’s Best Art Vinyl (2020), and DJ Mag Best of British Awards’ Best Album (2019). Paired with his album release, he collaborated on a solo exhibition with Red Bull.

His work has been featured in publications including Pitchfork, Crack Magazine, and Mixmag.

Alongside his own art practice, he has worked with artists and brands including Aesop, Anz (Ninja Tune), Azuma Makoto, and more.
